Touch markers: what “Touch” means, original or copy, and where they're made

By the Rasmetak team4 min read

The short answer

In Jordan, “Touch” has become the everyday name for twin-tip alcohol markers, and many factories make sets under the Touch name. Our pens are printed “Touch Aibao”, “TWIN MARKER” and “MADE IN P.R.C.” — made in China — and they are not ShinHan's Korean professional Touch Twin line, which costs roughly US$4–8 a pen. You can inspect every order before paying, and it has a 30-day guarantee against dry, missing or broken pens.

What does “Touch” actually mean?

When people in Jordan say “Touch colours” or “Touch markers”, they usually mean a twin-tip alcohol marker: a broad chisel tip, a fine tip and a cap that matches the ink and carries a number. Touch is also part of the name of a Korean professional line, ShinHan's Touch Twin — but in shops the word has become the general name for this kind of marker, and many factories make budget sets called Touch-something.

So “is it original or a copy?” has two answers:

  • If you mean ShinHan Touch Twin from Korea: that's a professional line at roughly US$4–8 a pen, and our pens are not from it.
  • If you mean “is it a real twin-tip alcohol marker that works?”: yes — and you can check that yourself before you pay.

What's printed on our pens, and where do they come from?

Our pens are printed with:

  • Touch Aibao: the name of the set. The print can vary slightly from batch to batch.
  • TWIN MARKER: a pen with two tips.
  • MADE IN P.R.C.: made in the People's Republic of China.

The case reads Touch with the pen count (24, 60 or 120 pcs). The stock comes to us from the factory in China. We don't call it “original” and we don't say it's Korean; we tell you exactly what's printed on it, and you can see it for yourself when your order arrives.

How to check your box when it arrives

With cash on delivery you can open the order and check it before paying the courier. Look at:

  • The count: count the pens, or check the trays are full (24, 60 or 120).
  • Both tips: uncap a few pens at both ends — a broad chisel and a fine tip.
  • The caps: each cap matches its ink and shows the colour code.
  • The ink: try a few pens on paper; the colour should come out clear and even.
  • The case or stand: clean, with a working zip.

If something is clearly wrong, refuse the order and message us. If you find a dry pen later, the guarantee covers it.

What does the guarantee cover?

Everything we sell is guaranteed for 30 days from delivery against:

  • dry or non-writing pens;
  • broken or damaged pieces;
  • pieces missing from a set;
  • printing errors in books.

Send a photo or short video with your order number on Instagram or Messenger and we'll replace the item — most cases don't need a return. Sometimes a pen arrives a little dry because alcohol evaporates with heat in transit: a drop of rubbing alcohol inside usually brings it back. Full details in our exchanges and returns policy.

Which country makes them, and are they on a boycott list?

Just the facts:

  • Country of manufacture: our pens are printed MADE IN P.R.C. — China, not Korea or Japan.
  • Boycott lists: the consumer-boycott target list published on the BDS movement's website (checked October 2026) names no art-supply or marker brands.

That is what we can confirm from a clear source; the decision is yours.

Why are they so much cheaper than the Korean line?

Because they're different tiers. Professional lines are made for artists who use them daily and are sold as single pens, where one pen can cost close to a whole box of ours. Budget Touch sets are made for colouring, hobbies and coursework: our 120 box is JD 15, or 12.5 piastres a pen. A lower price doesn't make a pen “fake” — it puts it in another tier. Market prices are compared in our Touch marker prices guide.

Frequently asked questions

Are your markers ShinHan?

No. Our pens are printed Touch Aibao and MADE IN P.R.C. (made in China). ShinHan Touch Twin is a separate Korean professional line that costs far more.

So are your markers original?

We don't use the word “original” without saying what it means: our pens are new twin-tip alcohol markers made in China, which you can check before paying and which carry a 30-day guarantee. They are not ShinHan or any professional brand.

Which country are they made in?

China: the pens are printed MADE IN P.R.C., the People's Republic of China.

Where does your stock come from?

From the factory in China to Jordan, where we pack the orders and deliver them to every governorate.

Are Touch markers on a boycott list?

The consumer-boycott target list on the BDS movement's website (checked October 2026) names no art-supply brands, and our pens are made in China. Those are the facts; the decision is yours.

What if a pen arrives dry?

A drop of rubbing alcohol inside usually revives it. If not, send us a photo with your order number and we'll replace it under the 30-day guarantee.

How do I know nothing is missing?

Count the pens, or check the trays are full, before paying the courier. If you find something missing later, the guarantee covers it.
